Music is an Integral Power.

My childhood dance card was full - with many turns by my parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles - to the likes of Nat King Cole & Herb Alpert and The Tijuana Brass.

Performing started early, as a backup singer to dad. Sister, Kelly, sang alongside with Mom on piano. By age 10, we were backed by a full band & took our own solo spots.

Various rock bands followed & evolved throughout the years. The 1990s were full with Frankly Scarlet, a performing/songwriting partnership with Kelly.

Currently (2011): The Radical EvolutionAry Love Makers (aka The REALM) is music & performance art with a message. It’s also a community for leaders - artists, innovators, world-changers, mavericks, fire-starters...anyone who’s ready to Ignite their Creative Genius into action for positive change in the world. The musical companion piece to my novel, Heaven was released in 2010. It’s a compilation project which includes the compositions of other artists in addition to my own. The music is intended to deepen the feel of the novel. I also act in a supporting role to Kelly in Local Honey, as well as performing at various specialty events.

I am influenced by many artists & genres from the above-mentioned to The O’Jays (& other Motown artists), from Tori Amos to Nine Inch Nails, from Angelique Kidjo to Alice in Chains, from monastic Gregorian Chant to modern Era, from Rick James to Poe, Burt Bacharach to Soundgarden/Chris Cornell & on & on & on.....

Music has always been a river of transcendence, transformation & power for me. When I am unable to express, in words, Music speaks. Music is the friend who takes me deep into the ground of my personal human experience, high into the furthest reaches of my larger Self - what I know as God alive in me - & then wide open into the world of Consciousness existing as form.

Music is as essential as the air we breathe.

Transcendent. Transformational.
